Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible;
and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” - Saint Francis of Assisi
Grief is an intensely personal experience. There is no set time or plan for dealing with the loss of a loved one. For some, it is an experience they can share with only a few. But many find comfort and encouragement spending time with others who share their struggle. If you feel that you could benefit from such a group, consider being a part of Mourning to Morning, our six-week bereavement support ministry. Mourning to Morning will give participants the opportunity to learn about the grieving process, share their experiences, reaffirm their faith, and begin to move forward.
There is no cost, however, in order for us to prepare materials, registration is requested. Check our bulletin for dates and times. Call Renée Barber at 216-731-1515 Ext. 262 or email at rbarber@srweuclid.cc
Our bereavement ministry serves parishioners throughout the year. It is important to know that grief support is not limited to our support groups. Our priests and pastoral associate are available for one-on-one meetings at any time. We also provide helpful reading, encouraging holiday messages, and remember each person at our yearly All Souls Day liturgy. Throughout the month of November, a banner is displayed with the names of all who have died that year and their pictures hang throughout the church. We strive to be a supportive presence and to meet the individual needs of our parishioners and their families.
