RCIA

“Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved. But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?” – Romans 10, 13 – 15

RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. This program prepares adults to become full members of the church. Sessions are held to explain Catholic life and teaching. The steps in the rite are celebrated at various Sunday masses, culminating in full reception or baptism into the church at the Easter Vigil. Members of this team for RCIA help in various ways to prepare those who will enter the church by faith sharing, prayer and encouragement. Un-baptized persons, baptized persons of other Christian faiths and baptized Catholics who have not been confirmed, made their First Communion or who have never had religious instruction are invited to become RCIA candidates. A team assists them in their preparation.
