“Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you.” – Luke 14, 13 – 14
This is an organization of lay men and women who, in the spirit of justice and charity, provide assistance to those in need, both members of the parish and others in the community. The ministry stresses person-to-person relationship with those whom it serves. The ministry sponsors activities such as food drives, Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets and clothing and blanket drives. Members meet regularly for Scripture reading, prayer and reports on their activities to aid others in need.
In addition, the parish provides monthly meals to the St. Aloysius Hunger Center. Volunteer opportunities include delivering food to the center, food preparation and serving the meals, as well as purchasing of all food items.
