Sacramental Information

Baptisms

Baptism for infants and young children are ordinarily scheduled during, before or after any of the weekend Masses. Parents are required to meet with Fr. John or Sr. Irene prior to the baptism.  Call the Parish Office to make arrangements for a baptism.

First Reconciliation and Eucharist

Required preparation of second graders for these sacraments begins in September.  First Reconciliation is usually received in February and First Eucharist is received in May.  Call Gail Monroe in the parish office to make arrangements.

Confirmation

Ordinarily eighth graders receive confirmation and preparation is required.  Confirmation is usually received in the spring.  Call Chris Kelley at the parish office to make arrangements.

Adults desiring confirmation should call Fr. John or Sr. Irene concerning preparation to be confirmed in the spring.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Any adult or child (eight years and older) interested in becoming Catholic, should contact Fr. John, Fr. David or Sr. Irene to learn about the September to May R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) preparation process.

Marriage

Please contact the parish office at least six months in advance.  Engaged couples are expected to be registered at a parish and attending Sunday Mass regularly. Pre-marital preparation is required.  The priest preparing you will discuss the details of preparation.

Marriage Annulment

Anyone in need of an annulment should call Fr. John or Fr. David to begin the process.

Anointing of the Sick and Communion to the Sick/Hospitalized

The sacraments are available at any time.  Please call the Parish Office to arrange to receive the sacraments.

Holy Orders/Vowed Religious Life

If you or someone you know may be interested in priesthood, diaconate or vowed religious life, please contact Fr. John or Sr. Irene.

Funerals

In the event of a death, the funeral director will contact the Parish Office to coordinate the funeral arrangements. Family members are encouraged to meet with a priest and music director to plan the funeral liturgy.
